By using Fit Scout you agree to what's on this page. It's short on purpose.

What Fit Scout is

Fit Scout is a search and comparison tool. It indexes menswear by garment measurements read from brands' own published size charts, and ranks it against the fit window you set. We don't sell anything and we don't hold stock — every purchase happens on the brand's or retailer's own site, under their terms and their returns policy. We are not a party to that sale.

Measurements are a guide, not a guarantee

This is the important part.

• Measurements are read automatically from a brand's published size chart — a structured table, an HTML chart on the product page, or a chart image transcribed by a vision model. Automatic transcription can be wrong. So can a brand's own chart.
• Items with no published chart are shown with synthesized sample sizing and are labelled as such on the card. Those numbers are estimates we generated, not measurements anyone took.
• Real garments vary between units, and between production runs, by more than you'd think.
• The fit score is a ranking heuristic based on the window you set. It is not advice and not a promise that anything will fit.

Check the brand's own size chart and returns policy before you buy. We are not liable for a garment that doesn't fit.

Prices and stock

Prices, discounts, currency and stock are scraped from each storefront and re-checked a few times a week — the footer of the catalog shows the date of the most recent check. Between checks they can be stale, and they can be wrong. The price you pay is whatever the retailer charges at checkout, and the item may be gone by the time you click.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Being upfront about exactly what that changes:

• It does not change which products appear, or how they rank against your fit window — ranking is your fit window and your chosen sort, nothing else.
• It does not change the price you are shown. When several retailers carry the same item, the card defaults to the cheapest one in stock, whether or not we earn anything from it. Every other retailer is listed in the picker on the card with its own price.
• It breaks a tie, and only a tie: if two retailers list the same item at the same price, the card defaults to the one we earn from. That costs you nothing.

Accounts

• An account is optional; everything except saving a fit window works without one.
• Keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give us a real email address you control; verification links go there.
• You can disable or delete your account yourself at any time from the account page.
• We may disable or remove an account that is being used to abuse the service.

Acceptable use

• Don't bulk-download, mirror or resell the catalog, and don't run automated scrapers against the site.
• Don't try to break the site, overload it, or reach other people's data.
• Don't use it in a way that breaks the law where you are.

Content and ownership

Product names, descriptions, images, prices and trademarks belong to the brands and retailers they came from, and appear here to identify and compare the products. The site's code, design and the compiled index are ours. If you are a brand or retailer and want your catalog removed, email us and we'll take it down.

Availability

Fit Scout is a small independent project running on modest infrastructure. It may be unavailable, may change, and may one day stop. There is no service level and no uptime promise.

Disclaimer and liability

The site and everything on it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for purchases you make on someone else's site, or for a garment that doesn't fit. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

OWNER TO FILL IN: the governing law and the courts you want disputes heard in. Leave this blank rather than guessing — an unenforceable clause is worse than none.
